Bespoke Training

Harrow and Hillingdon Healthcare NHS Trust

Most companies offering training have career trainers. These trainers know about their course and often struggle when having to move "off subject".

Our brief was to give the staff a good grounding in web technologies, but also steer them towards a good solution to their specific problem. This meant that we needed to understand what they were going to be doing with the skills they had learnt and hence teach them the correct skills to solve their problem. This was really a mixture of consultancy and training.

Most traditional training teaches a set of skills. The delegate is then left to decide how best to apply these skills.

We took one of our existing training courses and removed all the sections that were not applicable to the problem that the client had. We then wrote a couple of additional chapters and changed the exercises so that they would be starting to write an application that would be similar to the problem they had at work.

The course went well with us at times moving away from the core course material to answer very specific issues that applied to their unique circumstances.
